Colorful Quarters
I got these two quarters as change from a coffee stand on 4th Avenue. Has anyone ever seen these types of state quarters before? They look like they've been stamped with paint. I'm not sure if this is some sort of official project or a local artist's idea.

There appear to be a bunch of commercial enterprises that are selling "colored" versions of the state quarters:

Your quarters, however, use a different color scheme.

Hopefully mine are worth oodles of cash. Or will be. In a century or so.
If someone did pay $3 for each quarter, as the site suggests, I wonder ... did they get desperate for a cup of coffee and sacrifice a minor collectible to get it?
